Taking the hassle out of energy procurement

We know what it’s like – one minute your sorting accounts, next you’re pitching to new customers, all the while trying to find the time to respond to Jane in Finances’ emails about reigning in that budget… We get it! You have your hands full doing what you do best – managing your business and your people.

That’s why at Utilitywise we want to ensure you have one less thing to worry about – your energy costs. We keep our finger on the pulse of policy (whether that’s RoI, NI, UK or EU) and keep you updated with anything that can help reduce that bottom line.

Energy infrastructure safeguards supply

For example, on the 23 Jan 2018, the Department for Infrastructure gave the go-ahead for the construction of a second north-south electricity interconnector. That decision represents a double boost for local energy consumers. As a critical piece of energy infrastructure it will safeguard the long-term security of supply as well as making a positive impact on consumer bills. Consumers are currently paying around £20 million per annum because of absence of the north-south interconnector and the resulting limitations on the flow of electricity.

“Access to a second interconnector will also allow us to maximise the benefits of the cross border ISEM wholesale electricity market which is due to go live in May.  This means that as well as security of supply benefits, we will be able to make best use of the lowest cost generation on the island of Ireland.” – Utility Regulator Chief Executive, Jenny Pyper.

We keep our eyes on the horizon to ensure you are fully prepped for any changes in energy policy which could affect your business in terms of cost of electricity and gas or legislation that businesses must abide by.

Utilitywise can then help you to gain a more competitive pricing with our network of suppliers. We also have a wide range of energy saving services to reduce overall consumption so it all joins up nicely.
