In the first of a regular series of Meet The Team blog posts, we meet Finbar Healy, Irish Account Manager

How did you end up in your current role at Utilitywise?

After a year and a half turn in the English market, I felt the time was right to move forward in my role and took the position of Irish Account Manager. From my experience with Ireland and the Irish people I knew a move into this market was the right move for me.

What do you like best about working at Utilitywise?

I enjoy the opportunity to interact daily with extremely interesting and friendly people. Both on the phone and in the workplace. Although I talk only a little about the electricity and gas that I sell, I’m still well received and produce the best results for my customers.

What’s the atmosphere like at work?

When the going is good – the atmosphere is electric. I feel very privileged as the Irish team are the cream of the crop at Utilitywise.

What do you like the most about your role?

I like to have eccentric and opportunistic conversations with both my customer base and suppliers, producing great results all round. Saving my customers money helps me get up in the morning, but if that doesn’t work my screaming kids will!

I’ve had great results across all business sectors in Ireland, and almost always create vast savings and energy reduction. It’s important for business to be savvy when procuring their utilities, and this is where we can help.

I often say “I’m all Cork and no action”. But I like to believe I’ve helped a lot of people on my way.

Where would you like to be in five years?

At present I’m like a rubbish super hero: energy consultant by day and a comedian by night. So in five years’ time I would hope you would see me on your TV screens and at your charity balls. Until that happens, I’d like to climb the ladder here at Utilitywise as there are many opportunities for career development in the business so I can support my wonderful, growing family.
